You can use Alt while scrolling to position it in the exact spot you want it. Left-click to position one of the corners of the schematic at the desired location. (you should see it change in the text in the corner)
Make sure it's set to 'Schematic Placement' by holding Ctrl and using your scroll wheel. You should notice some text in the corner of your screen. Just load up the one you downloaded and a blueprint should appear in front of you. Select 'Load Schematics.' This should bring up a list of all the schematic files in your schematics folder. Litematica will now be able to access this schematic so you can use it in your worlds. minecraft folder along with all your other Minecraft data such as worlds, mods, etc. Put the schematic file into your 'schematics' folder.
